I’ve been a writer my whole life. I came to New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley in 2003 to study journalism, and I never left.

I’ve worked as a reporter and/or editor for five newsrooms in four counties, and as a communication & marketing professional for organizations across the region.

I’ve worked in higher education for more than a decade, including three years as an adjunct lecturer of journalism. Through it all, I’ve always freelanced.

I live in beautiful Ulster County, NY with my two daughters and husband. I love baking, hiking, walking, reading, cross stitching, exploring the Hudson Valley and Catskills, and going to concerts and festivals (before kids, that last one would’ve been first on the list).

I earned my bachelor’s degree in journalism from SUNY New Paltz in 2007 and my master’s degree in communication from Marist College in 2017.
